Eye exercise 1: Palming Eye Exercise

Generate heat by rubbing your palms together to generate some warmth. Close your eyes and cover them with the palms of your hand to ensure that no light, or very little, filters in. Feel the warmth soothe into your eyes. Ideally, you should try palming in a darkened room. The process is one that is supposed to relax your eyes; so take care not to exert pressure on your eyeballs. Stay in this position for about ten minutes and breathe normally. Try palming at least once a day.

Eye Exercise 2: Swinging

As the term might indicate, this technique requires you to swing your body from side to side while standing and focusing on a distant object. Make sure you don’t stare and remember to blink constantly. In addition to being a relaxation exercise, swinging helps reduce any rigidity there might be in your eyes. Do about a 100 swings every day.

Eye Exercise 3: Break Taking

Always take breaks at regular interval when working close up to at close proximity to objects like a computer. During this break, focus on objects far away or at least twelve feet. The re focusing will help reduce the strain in your eyes
 
 

Eye Exercise 4: Distant Focusing:

Go to an open park where there is a lot of space. Pick out an object about 200 feet away and focus on it for about 30 seconds. After that choose another point of focus about 6 feet away and focus on it. Exchange between these two focal point for about twelve times.

Eye Exercise 5: Micro Focusing: There are different types of micro focusing and we will go through each type
 
 
i) Thumb to Forehead: Stand still with your right arm stretched out to the front of you. Fold the fingers of the arm apart from the thumb. Focus on the thumb. Then, move your thumb to your forehead with you never breaking focus on the thumb. Move the thumb back to full arms length, still focusing on it. Repeat it for about a dozen times

ii) Side to side eye exercises: Stand still with your right arm stretched out to the side. Fold the fingers of the arm apart from the thumb. Now, move your am from side to side, focusing on nothing else but your thumb. Repeat it for about a dozen times


 
 
iii) Up and Down eye exercises: Stand still with your right arm stretched out to the side. Fold the fingers of the arm apart from the thumb. Now, move your am from Up and down, focusing on nothing else but your thumb. Repeat it for about a dozen times.


 
 
Eye Exercise 6: Sunning eye exercises

Sunning is always done either in the morning or in the evening when the rays of the sun are the gentlest. You should never do this technique in the afternoon under harsh sunlight. Close your eyes and raise your head to face the sun. Now, turn your head from one side to the other slowly, maintaining steady and deep breathing all the while. You should never sun for more than 3 minutes a day and it should always be followed by palming for a few minutes.

Eye Exercise 7: Blinking eye exercise

After working on your computer for a long time, it is advisable to look away from the computer blink for about five times in quick succession, then stop. Repeat this quick blinking for about 6 times before continuing. This rapid blinking resets your eye and reduces eye strain.
